BINTANGOR – A Seminar on Biblical Marital Spirituality for Couples was held at Christ the King Church from 26-27 July. About 60 people, comprising couples and singles, attended the inspiring talks given by Dr Jeffrey and Mrs Angie Goh from Kuching.
The topics covered in the six sessions over 1½ days were ‘Male and Female he created them’, ‘Submit to one another’, ‘Betrayal and telltale signs’, ‘Sweating blood’, ‘Raising Children – Joseph as a model’ and ‘Loving service’.
“Marriage is really a call to sanctity and truly is a path to perfection. Marriage is the vocation of the vast majority of people. It is the fertile ground where they all work, suffer, love, serve, struggle and grow in holiness,” said Dr Jeffrey.
In the last session, the couples washed each other’s feet as an acknowledgement that marriage is a loving service towards each other. The seminar ended with fellowship lunch at the Parish Hall. Participants found it a very meaningful seminar.
