KUCHING – On the evening of 14 August, Blessed Sacrament Parish (Stampin) celebrated a special sunset Mass for the Feast of the Assumption at the Grotto.
In conjunction with the Archdiocese’s Year of the Family, the Mass was especially offered for families. Parishioners were encouraged to come and attend as families.
At the end of the Eucharistic celebration, Parish Priest, Fr Lawrence Chua, went around blessing the participants with the Blessed Sacrament.
As had oft happened before during Masses celebrated at the Grotto, hardly halfway through the Mass, it started to rain. However, it was only a slight drizzle that soon stopped and umbrellas were put away with some relief. Nevertheless, the rain did not dampen the enthusiasm of the parishioners.
