BAU – On 9 March, Bau Curia (Legion of Mary) held a Lenten Recollection for about 200 Legionaries at the Catholic Memorial Pilgrimage Centre (CMPC), Mount Singai.
The day started with Stations of the Cross from the foot of the mountain. This was followed by recitation of the Rosary at Our Lady’s Shrine.
Then, Curia Spiritual Director, Fr John Chong, gave a sharing on the Lost Son, based on Luke 15. He shared that in all of us, we have the sins of the Lost Son and also that of the son who stayed at home. The season of Lent invites all to repentance and even more, to become the “compassionate Father”, who judged neither son but received and embraced both sons.
After the sharing, Mass was celebrated. The Teen Group from the Emmaus community in Kuching, led by Christina Eng and Pauline Kuek, joined the Mass. The recollection ended with lunch and after that everyone left for home.
